Project Description
The overall Google project was completed over 3 phases and provides Google with approx. 10,000m2 of floor area split over Blocks C & D. Phase 1 completed occupies levels 5, 6 and 7 of Block C. Phase 2 completed occupies levels 5, 6, 7 & 8 of the adjoining Block D and connected via a link at level 5. Phase 3 completed occupies levels 9, 10 & 11 of Block D.
Due to the critical nature of the business operations of Phase 2 and 3, the IDF’s are supported via Google UPS and also via the Landlord UPS system with ATS’s installed on the distribution systems. There is a fully diverse primary and secondary fibre connection from basement level up through Blocks C&D and across each floor. The overall campus constructed by BUMA provides nearly 50,000m2 of space over Blocks A, B, C & D with 20,000m2 of car park space.
Block 5 has commenced construction in 2014 and adds an additional 9,000m2 of office space. It has potential to provide accommodation for up to 6,000 people.
