Project Description

This development consisted of the delivery of 5,360m2 of high quality office space over 5 floors with 2 storeys of basement providing parking and plant space for the development. Google sought this space owing to the extensive growth they have experienced within their Dublin campus over the past number of years.

This development sought to deliver large training and presentation facilities with rapid access and egress options through calculated placement of these facilities adjacent to lifts. As with all Google projects, Ethos had to liaise with Google specific teams across a variety of functions including Security, IT, AV, Food Services and Facilities Management to ensure the development met and exceeded requirements while being delivered in line with the required fast-track programme.

Ethos Input

Ethos were enlisted to provide full Mechanical, Electrical, Sustainability and construction monitoring services for this development for Google. This included package design to tender stage, advice during the tendering procedure to appointment and monitoring on site to ensure high quality results were achieved in line with the agreed programme.

Unique / Key Features

This development was unique in that Google did not take full occupation of the development, but instead it was delivered over 5 storeys of an existing 7 storey development with 2 additional levels of basement providing car parking and plant space. This provided opportunities for our engineers to think creatively and functionally while maintaining live services to the existing tenants to the upper levels of the office development.
