Project Description

Ernst & Young refurbished their office space in Blocks 1, 8 and 9 in the Harcourt Centre, Dublin 2. The existing office space was refurbished on a floor-by-floor basis with the works being completed in six phases. The building remained in operation during the works with minimal impact on the clients business operations.

Ethos Engineering were responsible for the mechanical and electrical design and construction monitoring.

Unique / Key Features

The mechanical and electrical systems were designed with phased construction in mind. The office floor plates naturally ventilate with some cooling being provided to cellular spaces such as meeting rooms and telephone booths.

The main communications room was relocated as part of the works but completed in such a way as to prevent any downtime during the transitional period and to ensure the resilience of the key business infrastructure is maintained.
