Project Description

This project involved the fit-out of the existing One building at One Grand Canal Street. The offices underwent a full and complete refurbishment to provide a modern office space across six floors, totalling 4,182m2.

The architectural direction required for this project called for a space that was ‘better than your home.’ The fit-out was to be spacious and beautiful but also scaled to human appreciation, while being functional and stimulating, with freedom to be enjoyed by all of the Stripe team.

Open plan workspaces were broken down to more personalised scale and soft furnishing of areas that wrap around the perimeter of the floor plate to maximise daylight and views. This was completed over five phases with an initial temporary swing space completed in order to get the client into the building as soon as possible.

Ethos Input

Ethos Engineering were commissioned to provide full MEP services including A/C, ventilation, water services, drainage, lighting and emergency lighting, infrastructure for security, IT and AV, general services, power and construction monitoring.

Unique / Key Features

The M&E services were designed to complement the aesthetic and functional design of the space to make the floors comfortable and user friendly. The services were generally contained within a bulkhead located above the circulation route in order to achieve a ‘homely’ environment for the end user. Workstations incorporate sit / stand benches which can be adjusted to any height and can also be rotated to provide the user with multiple work positions. This key feature meant close design and coordination of the power and data service presentation to the desk facilities.
