Project Description:
Dublin Airport Logistics Park (DALP) is a 150-acre, large-scale commercial and industrial development, home to prominent brands and flagship facilities. Ethos Engineering was appointed to develop two new industrial units, Units 23 and 27, comprising reception areas, ancillary offices, toilets and lift cores, and warehouse space.
Each unit features rooftop plant rooms located above the first floor within the warehouse. These are accessed via ship ladders. To the rear, the units include service yards with car parking spaces (10% of which are allocated for EV charging), cycle parking facilities, water infrastructure, and sustainable urban drainage system (SuDS) elements.
Ethos Input:
Ethos Engineering led the design, installation, and commissioning of all mechanical and electrical services for both warehouse units and their integrated office spaces. In addition, our team designed the mechanical and electrical infrastructure for the wider estate, including estate-wide lighting, automatic property gates, and power provision for security systems.
Committed to exceeding expectations, we delivered a variable refrigerant flow (VRF) system combined with heat recovery ventilation to offer the client design flexibility within the newly constructed office blocks. These spaces also benefited from new water services, drainage, power supply, LED lighting, and fire protection systems. Emergency lighting and fire alarm systems were installed throughout both the warehouse and office areas.
Unique Key Features:
Ethos ensured all services were future-ready, supporting the client’s scalability needs in areas such as communications, data, and power infrastructure. As part of our commitment to sustainability, the mechanical and electrical services for DALP were designed and delivered to meet LEED Silver certification standards. Integrated systems throughout the development were optimised to enhance energy efficiency, aligning with our promise to deliver sustainable, forward-thinking engineering solutions.
