Project Description

The Sweeney Terrace Mixed Development complex was a student accommodation and residential (Build to Rent) development located on a site bounded by Mill Street, Sweeney’s Terrace and Clarence Mangan Road, Dublin 8. Commissioned by Global Student Accommodation Group, the development was submitted for planning in December 2018, and the project was completed in 2022.

The completed development included 37 apartments comprising studio, one-bed and two-bed units. The total gross floor area was 9,778m2.

Ethos Input

Ethos Engineering was commissioned to deliver full spatial layouts for Mechanical and Electrical Services, including riser requirements and plantrooms. Ethos also produced Sustainability Reports to demonstrate NZEB compliance as part of the planning application prepared by NTM Capital.

Unique / Key Features

The development provided 235 purpose-built student bed spaces, comprising 54 studio units and 35 cluster units. In addition to student studios and apartments, it featured a range of ancillary facilities including a management suite and internal social and recreational spaces.
