Project Description
Pinterest’s new EMEA HQ, located in Dublin, occupies the second floor of 60 Dawson Street, a premium location directly opposite Trinity College and within Dublin’s Grafton Street district. The project involved a full Category B fit-out of a greybox space, incorporating both creative design and high-performance technical delivery to reflect Pinterest’s global brand and cultural themes.
The workspace includes an open-plan office, barista bar, all-hands area, cellular meeting spaces, and bespoke ceilings and artwork that draw inspiration from Irish landmarks. The existing Cat A base building systems were reused and supplemented to align with Pinterest’s workplace needs.
Ethos Input
Ethos Engineering was appointed to deliver the full mechanical and electrical design, along with construction monitoring services. The project required close collaboration across design teams, project management, contractors, and Pinterest’s global stakeholders to ensure the design vision was achieved within the constraints of the existing building.
Operating in a space with limited ceiling height and challenging spatial conditions, Ethos developed a tailored design that maintained visual impact without compromising technical performance.
Unique / Key Features
The building is NZEB, smart connected, LEED Gold, WiredScore Platinum and WELL Silver. The fit-out design prioritised a comfortable and healthy work environment for Pinterest staff and partners.
The design intent was to replicate Ireland’s landmarks and culture, and as such included feature ceilings and art throughout the fit-out out which required unique and innovative building services solutions to suit.
