Project Description:
Sysco is one of the largest food distribution companies in the world. This project involved the design of their 30,000m2 distribution facility and service block for Pallas Foods Ltd. in Ireland. It is their first facility in Europe, and the first for Sysco outside North America. Ethos Engineering joined with TOTP Architects and John Paul Construction Ltd. to form a Design Build team and submitted a proposal to Sysco in San Antonio, Texas. After a successful bid, the design and construction started immediately, in July 2013.

Ethos Input:
Ethos were responsible for the M&E design services throughout the project as well as the construction supervision services.

Unique Key Features:
• 15,000m² refrigerated warehouse (-30°C to +7°C).
• Dry warehouse (13,000m²).
• High specification office fit-out (2,260m²).
• 40 acre site including soil stabilisation, attenuation ponds, site services, and hard and soft landscaping.
• Integration with client specialist subcontractor racking and mini loading system.
• Full design / build sprinkler system to FM requirements.
• Fuelling and vehicle maintenance facilities.
