Project Description
Situated in the heart of Dublin’s Liberties, Newmarket Square is a mixed-use development that sets new standards for sustainable urban living. The project features 413 apartments across three architecturally distinctive blocks, complemented by tenant amenity spaces. It also includes a 151-key Premier Inn hotel, retail spaces, artist studios, and a single-storey basement for parking and plant facilities. The design integrates vibrant communal areas and carefully curated biodiversity features, enhancing the area’s ecological value.
Ethos Input
Ethos Engineering provided multidisciplinary services for the project, including mechanical, electrical, public health, and lift engineering, alongside Environmentally Sustainable Design expertise to ensure NZEB compliance.
Acting as the BREEAM assessors, Ethos worked closely with stakeholders to integrate sustainable principles throughout the project’s design, construction, and management. Our team carried out Energy Efficiency Modelling and Thermal Comfort Analysis to optimise performance and ensure occupant comfort, while a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) identified opportunities to reduce the project’s carbon footprint.
