Project Description

The Student Accommodation, Fairgreen Road, is a 153-bed managed student accommodation located in Galway city centre. The 5-story scheme consists of a mix of 3, 4, 5 & 6-bed apartments as well as open-plan studios, all constructed over the existing Galway Coach Station on Fairgreen Road. This represents the completion of a previously unfinished development and the bringing back into use a derelict site.

With its close proximity to the regional bus depot, the development is served by excellent transport links and provides easy walking distance to the city’s University and third-level colleges. Accommodation consists of 129 individual student bedrooms arranged in 34 accommodation clusters and 24 number studio rooms, providing a total of 153 no. bed spaces. The development also comprises an internal/central landscaped courtyard and provides communal social and study spaces for residents. 60 No. covered cycle spaces will be provided at the mezzanine level and there are 24No. parking spaces are associated with the development.
