Reflector Building, 8 Hanover Quay

Project Description

The 8 Hanover Quay project involved the redevelopment of an existing protected warehouse structure into a new modern office facility for Bennett Properties in Hanover Quay, Dublin 2. The project consisted of two storeys over a basement ‘CAT A’ office building with an open plan office area of 3,574m² and includes 44 bicycle spaces at the basement level. Airbnb has agreed to a lease of this waterfront building for its new European Headquarters.

Ethos Input

Ethos Engineering were commissioned by Bennett Properties to deliver the mechanical, electrical, vertical transportation, and construction monitoring for the shell and core, and CAT A fit out. Ethos were also responsible for the shell and core, CAT A design, and BER assessment services.

Unique / Key Features

The modern, Grade A ‘warehouse’ style office space features a light filled atrium running through the centre pitched roof and there is an enclosed courtyard area at ground floor level. The project also included the introduction of an additional floor level into this existing two-storey protected warehouse structure.
