Electrical Project Engineer
About the job:
As a Electrical Project Engineer at Ethos Engineering, you will work with companies who lead in technology driven solutions. It will be second nature to you, to manage project delivery from conception all the way through to completion / client handover. Confidently managing and growing relations with accounts. Your expertise will expand beyond just the electrical field, also including BMS/EPMS, Security and CSA. Excelling at project design planning to meet client expectations. You will also manage a team of support engineers, mentoring them in their professional development. With that will come the responsibility of ensuring all deliverables from the team align with our quality assurance systems prior to handover.
About you:
Degree or Diploma (Building Services/Electrical Engineering)
Minimum 6+ years of electrical building services design experience required
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Autocad, Dialux, Amtech, and REVIT
Excellent communicator, comfortable liaising with clients and chairing client meetings
Lead projects, taking a brief from the project lead, and control and deliver the tasks required
Simultaneously manage multiple tasks, prioritise and delegate as appropriate to meet project deadlines
Write reports that explain complex engineering issues in simple and clear language
Expert knowledge and experience in the following electrical design areas: Lighting & Emergency Lighting, Small Power and Data, Fire alarms, CCTV & Intruder Alarms, MV/LV Power Distribution, Containment and BMS
Understand Irish and European standards [not essential, training can be provided]
Desire to grow with the organisation, undertaking training and mentorship to progress into a lead role in our Global Tech team.
Your day-to-day activities:
Lead the Electrical Services design for a range of projects
Design and specification of electrical services for various types of buildings and sectors
Production of detailed Schematics
Develop the electrical design standards within the organisation
Mentoring of junior engineering staff
Provide fully detailed tender packages and monitor installation/quality on site until project completion
Tender report / analysis / recommendations
Develop project scope with design team / client
Produce budgets and reports for clients
Collaborate with the team lead to deliver high-tech smart office developments
