Ethos Engineering is thrilled to announce our Electrical Engineer Graduate Program for the year 2024. We are actively seeking ambitious and talented Electrical Engineering graduates who are eager to embark on an exciting career in the building services industry. This program offers recent graduates a structured platform to refine their skills, engage in captivating projects, and receive mentorship from seasoned professionals.

The Evolve Graduate Program was launched in early 2022 to introduce recent graduates into all aspects of the business as well as in depth technical engineering principles and non-technical skills, which will kickstart their careers by providing real experience from the very start.

Job Description: Graduate Engineer – Building/Electrical Engineering
Location: Dublin (office-based) - Hybrid Working

Minimum Qualifications: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Building Services or similar

Candidate Attributes

  • Possession of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related field, awarded in 2024.

  • The candidate must be based in Ireland.

  • An exceptional academic record, including coursework in electrical circuits, power systems, and digital electronics.

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and a strong passion for innovation.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • A proactive mindset, adept at working both independently and collaboratively in a team.

  • An eagerness to adapt and a passion for acquiring knowledge about new technologies and engineering tools.

  • Keen attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to delivering top-quality work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical System Design: Collaborate with senior engineers to design and analyze electrical systems for building projects, encompassing power distribution, lighting, and low voltage systems.

  • Technical Mastery: Develop expertise in electrical engineering principles and apply them to real-world projects.

  • Documentation: Create precise technical drawings, reports, and project documentation with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality control processes to ensure projects meet industry standards and fulfil client requirements.

  • Field Exposure: Gain hands-on experience by visiting project sites, conducting inspections, and troubleshooting electrical systems.

Key Activities

  • Engage in design and analysis tasks for electrical systems in building projects.

  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams on diverse projects.

  • Conduct research to support engineering decision-making.

  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills.

  • Attend project meetings and interact with clients.

  • Contribute to the development of sustainable and energy-efficient electrical systems.
