About the Role – Accounts Payable & Payroll Assistant

We’re currently searching for an experienced Accounts Payable & Payroll Assistant to join our ranks and continue our tradition of success. This person will supply administrative support to accountants by performing clerical tasks such as filing, handling mail, making phone calls, replying to emails and basic bookkeeping.

Location: Dublin (remote working options available) – Head Office in Sandyford, Dublin

Candidate Attributes

  • The candidate must be based in Ireland in order to be considered for this position.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction accurately.

  • Analytical thinker and problem solver.

  • Competent IT skills, particularly proficiency with spreadsheet software.

  • High level of accuracy.

  • Extremely organised in a manner that is easily read by others.

  • Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information.

  • Professional and dynamic with strong people skills;

  • Strong organisation skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively, multi-task and problem-solve;

  • Knowledge of office management responsibilities, systems, and procedures;

  • Accounting Technician/IPASS - desirable

Key Activities

Accounts Payable Activities

  • Generating supplier purchase orders

  • Processing purchase invoices and matching them to the purchase orders.

  • Reconciling creditor accounts and resolving any issues

  • Processing payment run for creditors.

  • Liaising with all departments to ensure all project costs are captured.

  • Working with spreadsheets, purchase ledgers and journals.

  • Processing expense requests for the accountant to approve.

  • Bank reconciliation.

  • Liaising with third-party providers, clients, and suppliers.

  • Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries.

  • Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.

Payroll Activities

  • Managing monthly payroll processes.
