Imaginosity

Beacon South Quarter, Sandyford, Dublin 18

Imaginosity is an interactive children's museum located at the heart of the Beacon South Quarter Development at Sandyford, Dublin 18. There is a sustainable / green approach to the Imaginosity building design, from the building fabric/facade and materials, through to the M&E services for the building.

The design incorporates as many sustainable & renewable technologies as possible to increase the educational aspect of the building. Key sustainable features incorporated include the following;

  • High Insulation (Low U-Values)
  • Mixed Mode Ventilation (Low Energy)
  • Micro-CHP (Combined Heat & Power)
  • Heat Pumps
  • Wind Turbines
  • Solar Water Heating
  • Roof Mounted 'Windcatcher' Units with Photovoltaic Panels
