Greg Hayden - Managing Director

B.Eng(Hons), MBA, C.Eng, MIEI, MCIBSE, Chartered Engineer

Greg has over 20 years experience in the construction industry and has gained wide range of engineering experience in residential, commercial, retail, schools, stadiums, prisons, healthcare, pharmaceutical, micro-electronics and data centres. Greg’s experience covers design, value engineering, construction managements, commissioning management, sustainable design, auditing and implementation.

Before starting Ethos Engineering Greg was the Managing Director of a large multi-discipline engineering company where he managed approx. 320 staff with a turnover of €24m. Greg has also carried out positions with the Building Services Research & Information Association (BRSIA) in the UK and served on committees compiling guidance information for Guide A of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) Environmental Design guidance. Greg has also carried out expert witness roles.

John Coroner - Director

Dip.Eng.

John has a range of experience in all aspects of building services design and construction. Johns project experience has included full life cycle involvement in projects from concept design, budgeting & tender evaluation through to on-site supervision and project management of projects until close out and final account.

John has experience across the spectrum of electrical, mechanical and control system projects which include; Healthcare, Commercial, Retail, Residential, Mixed Use Developments, Data Centre Design, Pharmaceutical Control Systems, Micro Electronics, Prison Services, Hospitality & Sports and Leisure facilities.

He has also gained experience in the control and instrumentation fields, in particular areas such as Profibus and ASibus installations. He has experience in both distributed and centralised control systems.

Colm Devin - Director

B.Sc. Eng. (Hons), Dip.Eng., MIEI

Colm Devin graduated with an honours degree in Building Services Engineering from DIT Bolton Street in 1995. Following college he joined Environmental Engineering Ltd (EEL) as a commissioning engineer in Intel Fab 12.

He worked in Intel for one year then left site to join EEL design office as a junior mechanical design engineer. He then worked with EEL/RPS EE for the next 9 years as a mechanical design engineer progressing from a junior engineer to a Senior Project Manager.

He was involved in many prominent commercial and industrial projects. In 2005 Colm left RPSEE to join Greg Hayden in establishing Ethos Engineering where he worked as Senior Project Manager responsible for many complex large scale projects. In 2007 Colm became a Director of Ethos Engineering.

Paul Tighe - Associate

B.Sc. Eng. (Hons), Dip.Eng., C.Eng., MCIBSE, MIEI, Chartered Engineer

Paul graduated with a 1st Class Honours Degree from Dublin University and a 1st Class Honours Diploma from Dublin Institute of Technology, Bolton Street in 1998. He is presently an Associate with Ethos Engineering.

Paul has been involved as a Design Engineer and a Lead Project Engineer on a broad range of projects including commercial offices, retail, residential, hotels, a 12-screen cinema, restaurants, micro-electronics, educational, healthcare, and mixed use projects. As an Associate he has been responsible for the design and monitoring of projects from planning stage through to final commissioning and handover.

He is a chartered member of Engineers Ireland and a chartered member of CIBSE. Paul is a trained project quality auditor and manages the quality assurance procedures within Ethos Engineering. Paul is a trained BREEAM Assessor having undergone formal training in BRE Headquarters in the UK.
